Slipping of a bone's growth plate (Slipped radial head epiphysis): A 9-year-old girl complained of left wrist pain and deformity after having fallen on her outstretched hand. Her neurologic function and pulses of the hand were normal. An x-ray of the forearm and wrist demonstrates a 50% displacement of the growth plate with 45 degrees of angulation. (L.S.)
