Chickenpox (Varicella):
A 3-year-old child was brought to the emergency department because of fever,
cough, and rash for 3 days. The lesions started on the face and scalp and spread
to the trunk. Initially, the lesions appeared as papules (small bumps), blistered,
and then filled with pus. All three stages were seen in this child who was covered
with calamine lotion. The presentation suggested a varicella (chickenpox) infection.
